 AARON NEVIL
AND "AVE MARIA"

Leslie Kot

Look out! Darkness coming up! It want to shake hands...
Are you afraid? Are you ready? What did you do? Did you? All that you supposed to...?

Don´t look back - what`s done is done. Don`t judge yourself too hard...
Trust me! No matter what! Don`t! Leave it to your kids!
They know how and what to do with it! They`ve got a future! Do they?

Have you seen a shimmering light on the horizon?
You are very romantic tonight - what`s wrong with you?

I beg your pardon? Aaron Nevil is singing "Ave Maria"?
How touching - he`s got that voice as gift directly from God!

She says: I wish you could sing like him - then maybe I could fall in love with you...
But I can`t, and even if I could - I wouldn`t! People just pretending! Playing games...
Years goes by... cool...

"CONTEMPORARY WRITERS OF POLAND"
Anthologi edited by Danuta Blaszak (Orlando, Fl. USA)
Cover design - Agnieszka Herman
Dreamme Little City 2005

Contemporary Writers of Poland take the reader for a journey through the very “core topics” that have always characterized Polish poetry. Contain poems of Pope John Paul II, Anna Tomaszewska, Ernest Bryll, Leslie Kot, Barbara Kobos-Kaminska, Jan Twardowski, Lech Lament, Danuta Ruminski, Bohdan Urbanowski, Aleksander Nawrocki, Eliza Sarnacka-Mahony, Maria Duszka, Stanislaw StanikAdam Lizakowski, Anna Frajlich, Danuta Kosk-Kosicka, Danuta Blaszak...
As the editor of the anthology herself has put it: her strife was to present “some fleeting values” of the before its borders “disappear”, melt into the greater landscape of unified Europe and “old Poland” standardized global culture.

NATURE IS FULL OF INDECENT STINGINESS
GIVE YOU ACCESS TO JUST A FEW SECONDS OF HEAVEN
WHICH ANYTIME YOU`VE  BEEN BLESSED TO TOUCH
IT SAYS – IT`S  ENOUGH!  YOU DON`T  NEED ANY MORE
BUT IT`S WORTH LIVING ANYWAY
